This is a tutorial for my cousing :iconrecon005: who asked me how I do my lineart. I threw this together when he asked me again. I just thought it would be better to show him rather than tell him.

Anyway, disregard the picture I'm using. It was an uninked sketch and I didn't want to draw something and ink it just for this. The lineart should turn out smooth and with should have various line weights that I think look better than just flat inking... and it's much faster than trying to do line weights by hand imo

You are most welcome. This is only the way I started doing line art. Of course there's a harder way to do it which is more time consuming using the pen tool and manually 'tracing' over the pencil lines and getting your line weight that way. It looks more traditional but the way in the tutorial still looks good even though the line weight is less pronounced. Hope that makes sense.
